June 5-11: Photo Project Week 23

Routine. That is what this week felt like. Our kids were finished school and I worked on editing Paris pictures. It felt like a week of progress, though looking back I still didn’t get done what I would have liked.

June 5 – Home Garden Rose

I received three rose bushes for free from another family who was moving away. This one bloomed this week. What a beautiful colour.

June 6 – Alyssum

I received a pot of Alyssum for Mother’s Day from my kids. It was suffering even when I received it, so I repotted it and now it is sitting by my front door happy and blooming.

June 7 – Ageratum

I planted two Ageratum in a pot with ornamental grasses and some Creeping Jenny. These are happy and loving their spot on our back patio.

June 8 – Blackberry Brambles

The Brambles are starting to bloom. I don’t know what kind of fruits they will produce, but I hope that I can go picking. Such a pesty plant that invades everywhere, yet it also produces the most amazing fruit.

June 9 – Getting Older

I started adding a weight workout to my routine. I don’t like this getting older thing. I especially don’t like the weight gain or the fact that my workouts feel like they are doing nothing. But I have to keep active and I am thankful that I can still walk and I can still lift weights. And I want to continue doing that.

June 10 – Parties

This weekend we had two parties. One very organized and one last minute. These grass heads along with all the pots on my back patio welcomed my husband’s co-workers on Friday. It was a beautiful evening and I am thankful.

June 11 – Cherries

Fruit stands are everywhere here. The one at the entrance of our subdivision opened this week. The cherries are amazing. That is one thing I love about Germany is the access to so many different fruits and they taste so good. They don’t have to travel as far as they do in the US so they can pick them when they are more ripe.
