The weather has not been the best while here in Chicago, but Megan and Brennig and Brennig’s girlfriend, Bella and my parents have had a great time. I leave again this morning for Arizona.

My son, my husband, my nephew, and my daughter all love Settlers of Catan. They played it numerous times this week and it’s loud and slow and frustrating at times. I am not into strategy games at all. Give me a good game of Dutch Blitz or Mexican Train any day.

I only got one walk on the Illinois Prairie Path this week as the weather has not been cooperative for outside stuff. I love the Prairie Path. I have not been to Illinois much in the earliest of spring, but it was fun to see all of the seed heads of the weeds. They are great aspect of flora even as spring awaits.

My dad is writer of books. He has had many instruments of writing over the years, but never this instrument. He wrote his doctoral dissertation long hand and then my mom typed it on a manual typewriter. Then came electric typewriters, then word processing computers and then the PC. This typewriter was a flea market find, which is in beautiful shape.

Northern climes have Pussy Willows. After living in the South, and again, not being in the North during early spring, it was so fun to see this unique plant.

My daughter, Megan, is an artist. She is studying Landscape Architecture at Clemson, but actually had time to paint for fun this week. I love her paintings.

Spring has been so slow here in Chicago. My dad raked the beds yesterday between rain showers and what is peeping through? Rhubarb

Surprise!!! This is what was on the ground when we woke up this morning. Winter is not over.
