May 15-21: Photo Project Week 20

Catch Up #1. Life got very very busy and I just forgot to post this week. We were prepping for our trip to Paris and I just plum forgot. Here are the posts from that week.

May 15 – Flower Pot Lobelia

My flower pots started taking off. And this bright blue Lobelia started to really show off this week especially against the orange of the Million Bells

May 16 – Campanula

We had to replace a Campanula that was in our front flower bed. This one was double and so pretty.

May 17 – Rose #6739

This summer this blog will be filled with images of roses. They are my favourite. We have a walking path that I call Flower Alley and I will be taking many pictures of it.

May 19 – Perennial Salvia

I walked across the street to my neighbours garden and took a picture of her salvia which were in full blossom.

May 20 – Dogwood

This is a very different type of dogwood from the ones we see in the southern US. I figured it was a dogwood by the leaf, but the flower was so different. God made this world with so many different types of plants. It is awe-inspiring that I have the privilege to see as many as I have.

May 21 – Thistle

My husband gave me one of these as we started dating. It is pressed somewhere in a scrapbook. I love this weed. I’ve always called them highland thistle but I’m not sure if this is that exact variety or if the highland thistle is something similar. Bees love it and even though it’s a weed and painful to touch, it is still an example of the handiwork of God.
